Hi, I'm Saveen

Welcome to my practice, Rise Mental Health!

Did you know that therapists also see therapists? Yup, and I’m one of them.  That’s why I know what it’s like to be where you are, sitting on a couch talking about problems, pain, and well, life.  I also know that therapy is the ultimate self-care investment with invaluable returns.

My Favorite Flower

One of my favorite flowers is the lotus flower. The lotus flower grows in muddy and murky waters, yet it emerges from this environment unstained and beautiful.  To see my clients go through this process of rising from dark and challenging situations towards healing, is the most rewarding experience.  It symbolizes their growth, transformation, and resilience.

My Vibe

My clients would say that my vibe is genuine, caring, and pretty chill, which makes it easier to open up and talk about anything.

In my sessions you will experience a balance of having a safe and healthy sounding board to express yourself, discussing coping skills, and delving into deeper healing work.  I’ll ask you about your week was.  We’ll talk about an enjoyable Netflix show you’ve been watching or how the date night went. It's important to me to genuinely connect with you.  And don’t worry, I'm not afraid to talk about the hard stuff, and I'm also not hesitant to point out when you might be holding yourself back.

My Identity

I fully embrace my identity as a South Asian woman and a therapist of color, and I appreciate the diverse perspectives and experiences this brings to my work.

Having firsthand knowledge of the complexities surrounding cultural barriers in mental health, I'm dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all my clients. I have helped many clients navigate challenging family dynamics influenced by cultural norms, aiding clients in finding harmony and insight in their relationships.

Furthermore, I deeply value blending Eastern and Western viewpoints and beliefs, which allows me to offer a well-rounded approach to therapy. This holistic approach honors diverse backgrounds and fosters growth and healing in a way that resonates with each individual's unique journey.

My Clients

When it comes to clientele that I am most drawn to, I enjoy helping adults who struggle with:

  • Feeling guilty about setting boundaries within their relationships, often exasperated by cultural challenges
  • PTSD symptoms such as intrusive memories, flashbacks, depression, avoidance, etc
  • Emotional pain of grief after losing a loved one
  • Societal pressures to "do it all", causing burnout

Therapy can feel a bit scary, especially if this is your first time, but we can work together to help you create long-lasting, sustainable change. In addition to my office in Suwanee, GA, I offer the flexibility of remote therapy. It is my privilege to support you in your journey. What you have to say matters to me, your story matters, you matter.
